This young lady did not like her "gummy smile" and her narrow smile.... due to congenitally missing lateral incisors. After discussing a number of alternatives the patient elected to have Dr. Salivonchik raise her gum line with cosmetic crown lengthening (also known as gum reshaping or gum contouring).

Porcelain crowns were employed to address the congenitally missing teeth which improved certain occlusion issues and had the dramatic effect of broadening her smile.

The esthetic and functional effects were quite dramatic for the patient, as can be seen from the photo. The patient was very pleased with the outcome and now loves smiling and showing off her beautiful smile.
